stock_margaritaHello All! We’ve decided that we loved the book Pints and Purls so much that we are going to base our June classes on the it! So in the class schedule you’ll see lots of fun class projects listed from the book! Stop by to check it out.

During the classes we will be serving non-alcoholic versions of the drinks that go along with the projects! It sounded like a good way to kick off the summer to us and most of the projects are portable, which is always good for summer knitting.

If you purchase both the yarn and the book from us, the classes are $10 if not it will be $15. The only difference is the sweater class which is $15 or $20.

Garter Stitch Neck Scarf

I know some of you have been waiting for me to publish this pattern for our yarn of the month but  the site wouldn’t let me on yesterday (honest!)  Anyway, good things come to those who wait and the computer issues gave me a chance to rip out my original scarf and redo it to make it better!Garter Stitch Neck Scarf

Materials:

  • 2 Skeins Adagio (110 yds each)
  • #7 needle

Pattern:

  • Cast on 3 sts and increase 1 st at beg of each row until 28 sts. Knit 6 rows.
  • Divide work on 2 needles by slipping every other st onto a DPN or a circular needle (14 sts on each neelde)
  • K1, P1, for 18 rows the sts remaining on needle. Then K1, P1 for 18 rows on sts being held on DPN.
  • Join the ribbed sections by knitting 1 st from each needle alternately (28 sts)
  • Continue in garter stith until this section measures 15″ or desired length to fit comfortably around your neck.  Work ribbing section as before.  After joining ribbing section, knit for 6 rows.  Begin decreasing at beg of each ow by doing the following: K1, sl1, K1, psso, knit to the end of the row. Continue decreasing in this manner until 3 sts remain.
  • Bind off.
